About the Winery

Contadi Gasparotti is a young, low-environmental-impact farm in Tirano in the Valtellina valley, working 5 hectares of vineyards in Italy's largest terraced area. They produce Valtellina Superiore DOCG, Sforzato di Valtellina DOCG, and Rosso di Valtellina DOC wines entirely from Nebbiolo grapes, vinifying in an ancient cellar beneath the family home and aging in chestnut wood barrels and small oak casks.
