About the Winery
Castello di Corbara is a historic estate located between Orvieto and Todi in Umbria, overlooking Lake Corbara, with ancient origins dating back to Roman times and encompassing more than 1,200 hectares of which approximately 100 are planted to vineyards at elevations between 100 and 350 meters. The Patrizi family acquired the property in 1997 and has focused on producing wines from native varieties including Grechetto for Orvieto Classico, Sangiovese, and a historic clone of Montepulciano discovered on the estate, alongside well-adapted international varieties like Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
