About the Winery
Giacomo Conterno stands as the most important traditional producer in Barolo, founded in 1908 in Monforte d'Alba, Piemonte, and now run by Roberto Conterno, producing iconic wines from the legendary Cascina Francia vineyard acquired in 1974. The estate is renowned for Barolo Riserva Monfortino, produced only in exceptional vintages and aged at least seven years in large Slavonian oak botti, alongside Barolo Cascina Francia and Barolo Cerretta, all vinified with extended maceration and unwavering commitment to classical methods.
