About the Winery
Cantina Storica Il Montù, founded in 1902 in Montù Beccaria, Oltrepò Pavese, was the first cooperative winery in the area and one of the very first in Italy. Now managed by the Ottina and Tonalini families since the 1990s, the estate encompasses about 80 hectares of vineyards producing high-quality traditional-method sparkling wines from Pinot Nero, Buttafuoco, Sangue di Giuda, and a range of still wines, along with grappa and spirits.
