About the Winery
Cantina Sampietrana is a historic cooperative winery founded in 1952 in San Pietro Vernotico, Puglia, originally established by 68 grape-growing members near the railway line for easy transport. Today, with 50 members farming 190 hectares across the Brindisi, Squinzano, and Salice Salentino appellations, the cooperative produces approximately 400,000 bottles annually, focusing on quality over quantity from indigenous varieties including Negroamaro, Primitivo, and Malvasia.
