About the Winery
Cantina Maggi Francesco was founded in the 1940s by grandfather Francesco in Montescano, Oltrepò Pavese, starting with just 3 hectares and now spanning about 30 hectares across Canneto Pavese, Montescano, Castana, and Montù Beccaria. Now led by Marco Maggi, the estate has focused on quality, producing over 30,000 bottles of Buttafuoco Storico, along with Pinot Nero, Bonarda, Riesling, and Metodo Classico, while receiving recognition for its environmental sustainability efforts.
