About the Winery

Cantina Le Macchie is a family-run winery founded in 2009 by Antonio Di Carlo in Castelfranco, at the foot of Mount Terminillo in the province of Rieti, where high-altitude vineyards between 610 and 1,075 meters benefit from exceptional day-to-night temperature variations. The estate combines artisanal methods with modern techniques to produce wines from both indigenous varieties such as Cesanese Nero, Malvasia, and Sangiovese and international grapes like Riesling and Gewürztraminer in a historic 15th-century cellar.
