About the Winery

Named after the hill where its vineyards and centuries-old olive trees stand, Cignano is located near Fossombrone on the site of ancient Forum Sempronii. The estate boasts 15 hectares cultivating Bianchello, Sauvignon Blanc, Sangiovese and Montepulciano on yellow sandstone hills, producing wines including Bianchello del Metauro DOC, Colli Pesaresi Sangiovese DOC, and sparkling wines, with the name deriving from Latin terms linked to Roman presence in the area.
