About the Winery

The Calvi family has dedicated themselves to viticulture for eleven generations in Castana, Oltrepò Pavese, following a farming wisdom passed from father to son since the 17th century. Across 12 hectares divided into about ten vineyards, the estate practices spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, grass cover between rows, and limited sulfite use, producing authentic Buttafuoco, Barbera, and other traditional wines that embody the historical style of Oltrepò Pavese.
