About the Winery
Coppo is one of Italy's oldest wineries, founded in 1892 in Canelli, the capital of Italian sparkling wine in southern Piemonte, by Piero Coppo, and now spans 85 hectares with estate vineyards in Monferrato, the Langhe, and Alta Langa. The historic estate is renowned for its Barbera d'Asti Pomorosso, Metodo Classico sparkling wines, Barolo, and Chardonnay Monteriolo, with its Underground Cathedrals in Canelli recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2014, and was acquired by the Lanci-Soldadino family in 2021.
