About the Winery

Còlpetrone is the largest private estate producing Sagrantino di Montefalco DOCG in Umbria, with 63 hectares of vineyards of which 35 are dedicated to four expressions of Sagrantino, located across the municipalities of Gualdo Cattaneo and Montefalco. Founded in the late 1980s when few recognized the region's potential, the estate's new winery inaugurated in 2005 is integrated into the hillside to ensure constant temperature and humidity with minimal environmental impact, producing benchmark Sagrantino, Montefalco Rosso DOC, and Grechetto IGT wines.
