About the Winery
Cavalier Bartolomeo is a historic family winery founded in 1924 by Bartolomeo Borgogno in Castiglione Falletto, in the heart of the Barolo zone of Piemonte, where Bartolomeo was awarded the honor of Cavaliere for his service in World War I. Now run by the fifth generation, Dario Borgogno and his son Alex, the small garagiste estate produces just 15,000 bottles annually, including Barolo Altenasso from Castiglione Falletto and Barolo Cannubi San Lorenzo, crafted with a traditional yet refined approach.
