About the Winery

Ornellaia is one of Italy's most iconic wine estates, founded in 1981 by Lodovico Antinori in Bolgheri on the Tuscan coast, producing a celebrated Cabernet Sauvignon-led Super Tuscan blend. The estate's 97 hectares of vineyards span two distinct sites across diverse soils of marine sediment, alluvial deposits, and volcanic origin, with the 1998 vintage named Wine Spectator's Wine of the Year in 2001.
