About the Winery
La Cantina degli Abissi, also known as Bisson, was founded in 1978 in Chiavari by Pierluigi Lugano, an art teacher and accomplished sommelier. The winery is internationally renowned for its pioneering 'Spumante degli Abissi,' a classic method sparkling wine aged at 60 meters deep in the Bay of Silence off Sestri Levante, as well as for reviving indigenous Ligurian varieties like Bianchetta Genovese.
