Argillae is a winery located in the rolling hills just north of Orvieto in Umbria, where the name references the calcareous-clay soils rich in marine fossils that define the estate's distinctive terroir across 120 hectares with 15 dedicated to vineyards. The estate produces expressive wines led by native Grechetto and Orvieto Classico Superiore, alongside innovative offerings like the Primo D'Anfora fermented in terracotta amphorae, with a winemaking philosophy that balances deep respect for tradition with modern techniques that enhance the wines' natural freshness and complexity.
