About the Winery
Founded in 1971, Cantine Belisario is a 300-hectare cooperative winery in Matelica and the largest producer of Verdicchio di Matelica DOC, accounting for over 70% of total production. With 150 member-growers in the Alta Valle Esina, the cooperative produces a wide range including organic Vigneti B, Terre di Valbona, the Riserva Cambrugiano, and sparkling wines using both Charmat Lungo and Metodo Classico methods.
