About the Winery
Aquila del Torre is a family-run, certified organic winery in Povoletto, in the Colli Orientali del Friuli, managed by agronomist Michele Ciani and his father Claudio since 1996. The estate encompasses 84 hectares, of which only 18 are planted to vines while 66 remain forest, with vineyards sitting on Eocene marl and sandstone soils at 200-300 meters altitude, producing Friulano, Sauvignon, Refosco, Merlot, Riesling Renano, and Picolit DOCG with a focus on biodynamic practices.
