About the Winery

Argillae is a winery located just north of Orvieto in Umbria, spanning 120 hectares with 15 dedicated to vineyards, where calcareous-clay soils rich in marine fossils from the Pliocene era lend distinctive structure and freshness to the wines. The estate is particularly noted for its Grechetto and Orvieto Classico Superiore, as well as innovative offerings like the Primo D'Anfora, a rare white wine fermented and aged in terracotta amphorae, produced in limited quantities of only 1,980 hand-numbered bottles.
