Ansitz Waldgries is a historic family winery in Santa Maddalena above Bolzano, South Tyrol, first documented in 1242 and run by the Plattner family for nearly 100 years. Led by Christian Plattner in the third generation, the estate focuses on indigenous varieties including Schiava, Lagrein, and Rosenmuskateller from 7.2 hectares of steep hillside vineyards overlooking the city.
