About the Winery
Agricola Plantamura is a certified organic winery in Gioia del Colle, Puglia, that began bottling in 2002 under Mariangela Plantamura, specializing in Primitivo Gioia del Colle DOC from a special old clone developed by a local monk in the 17th century. The estate's 3.5 hectares of espalier-trained vines sit at 350 meters above sea level on chalky soils rich in marine fossils, where wind and significant day-night temperature swings produce fresher, more elegant wines than typical for the region.
