About the Winery

Weingut Hochegg is an organic pioneering project by the Andergassen family, situated at 838 meters above the Etschtal Valley in South Tyrol, where terraced vineyards on skeleton-rich porphyry soils produce Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Riesling. Surrounded by pine forests and ancient chestnut trees dating back to the time of Maria Theresa, the winery crafts wines that express the unique alpine altitude and mountain character of this high-elevation site.
