About the Winery

Marie-Claude Cabot is a Burgundy winegrower who established Domaine de Bellevue in Épineuil, in the northern reaches of Burgundy near Chablis. In 1983, she renovated an old ruined farm on the heights of Épineuil, creating what is today the Domaine de Bellevue, and planted her first hectare. The domaine now encompasses approximately 6 hectares of vines. Épineuil is a small Burgundy appellation located on the hill opposite Tonnerre, on the right bank of the Armançon river. The region has a rich viticultural history dating back to the Middle Ages when abbeys produced highly-regarded wines, and had 362 hectares of vines before phylloxera devastated the vineyards. Marie-Claude Cabot produces Bourgogne Épineuil red wines from Pinot Noir, which are known for their cherry red color, fresh and fruity character with crisp tannins, as well as Rose wines. Her wines have been recognized in the Guide Hachette des Vins.

A dedicated Burgundy winegrower who transformed a ruined farm into Domaine de Bellevue, producing expressive Épineuil wines since 1983.
