About the Winery

Guy Barraud is a wine producer in the Beaujolais region, known for crafting wines from the Saint-Amour cru. Saint-Amour is the northernmost of the ten Beaujolais crus, named after the village which takes its romantic name from a Roman soldier who converted to Christianity. The wines of Saint-Amour are typically among the most elegant and approachable of the Beaujolais crus, with supple fruit and delicate tannins. Like all Beaujolais wines, they are made from the Gamay grape, grown on the region's granite and schist soils.
