About the Winery

Louis Bellot was the former owner of Domaine de la Bretauche in Chablis before selling the 15-hectare property to François Moutard in 2010. The estate included vineyards in Chablis and the surrounding Tonnerrois region, including Épineuil and Tonnerre. Chablis is renowned worldwide for its steely, mineral-driven Chardonnay wines grown on Kimmeridgian limestone soils rich in fossilized oyster shells. The wines of Chablis—ranging from Petit Chablis to Chablis Grand Cru—are celebrated for their purity, elegance, and exceptional aging potential. François Moutard has continued the domaine's tradition of producing quality Burgundy wines.
