About the Winery
Rose Augier is a wine producer in the Provence region of southeastern France. Provence is the oldest wine-producing region in France, with viticulture dating back 2,600 years to the ancient Greek settlement of Massalia (modern-day Marseille). The region is world-famous for its pale, dry Rose wines, which represent the majority of production. Provence also produces red wines from Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as white wines from Rolle (Vermentino), Clairette, and Ugni Blanc. The region's Mediterranean climate, with abundant sunshine and the cooling Mistral wind, creates ideal conditions for viticulture.
“A Provence producer crafting wines in France's oldest wine region, famous for its iconic Roses.”
