About the Winery

GAEC du Domaine du Thizy is a wine-producing estate in the Beaujolais region of eastern France. Beaujolais is celebrated for its wines made from the Gamay grape, grown on granite and schist soils that give the wines their distinctive fresh, fruity character. The region's ten crus—Morgon, Fleurie, Moulin-à-Vent, Juliénas, Chénas, Chiroubles, Saint-Amour, Côte de Brouilly, Brouilly, and Régnié—each have their own unique terroir and style. The GAEC (Groupement Agricole d'Exploitation en Commun) structure indicates a farming partnership, a common arrangement in French agriculture.
