Jacques Brumont
About the Winery
Jacques Brumont is part of the legendary Vignobles Brumont in the Madiran appellation of South West France. The family is led by Alain Brumont, who inherited Château Bouscassé in 1979 and purchased Château Montus in 1980, transforming both into world-class estates. Brumont is synonymous with the Madiran appellation and is the absolute master of the Tannat grape. The estate now encompasses over 350 hectares across three hills within the appellation. The wines include the flagship Montus Cuvée Prestige and 'La Tyre'—celebrated for their muscular depth and concentration, earning Montus the moniker 'Pétrus of the Southwest.' Jacques represents the next generation of this iconic winemaking family.
