About the Winery

Domaine Fichet is a historic family estate in the Mâconnais region of southern Burgundy, with winemaking roots dating back to 1408 when Stéphus Fichet cultivated vines. The modern domaine was created in 1976 when Marius Fichet boldly left the village cooperative during a wine crisis. His son Francis Fichet was one of the first to plant Pinot Noir in the Chardonnay-dominant Mâconnais. Today, the estate is run by brothers Pierre-Yves (vineyards) and Olivier (winemaking), who have expanded holdings to 35 hectares in Igé and Burgy. The domaine holds HVE3 (High Environmental Value) and Terra Vitis sustainability certifications. The terroir features unique white limestone among chalk and clay soils, with a microclimate bringing extra humidity and morning fog. Their wines include Mâcon-Villages, Saint-Véran, Pouilly-Fuissé, and Bourgogne Pinot Noir, all vinified with careful parcel selection.
