GFA Le Grand-Poujeaux refers to a wine-producing property in the Grand-Poujeaux area of Moulis-en-Médoc, one of Bordeaux's most confidential communal appellations. The Grand-Poujeaux plateau offers among the best terroir of Bordeaux, with Garonne gravel from the Gunz period and Saint-Estèphe calcareous sediments similar to those found in First Growth vineyards. The wines of this area are typically blends of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, producing rich, elegant wines with excellent aging potential. Neighboring estates include Château Poujeaux and Château Chasse-Spleen, both benchmarks for the appellation. Wines from Grand-Poujeaux are known for their structure, balance, and value compared to the more famous Bordeaux appellations.
