About the Winery

Thierry Bertin is a passionate artisan winemaker in the Jura region of eastern France. Established since 1977, Bertin cultivates a small parcel inherited from his great-grandfather, supplemented with vines farmed under métayage (sharecropping) agreements, along with some acquisitions and leased parcels. The domaine produces classic Jura wines including Vin Jaune, the unique oxidative wine made from Savagnin aged under a protective yeast film, as well as Crémant du Jura, the region's traditional method sparkling wine, and Macvin du Jura, a fortified wine. Bertin's wines exemplify the Jura's distinctive winemaking heritage, combining deep respect for tradition with skilled craftsmanship.
