About the Winery

Château Le Bouchat-Alaux is a wine-growing estate in the heart of Pennautier, near Carcassonne. The Alaux family has been cultivating vines for generations, alternating with local mining. Today, Jean-Louis is the heir to this tradition, carrying forward family know-how that can be found in each bottle. His wife Florence comes from the fourth generation of independent winegrowers. The estate cultivates 30 hectares in AOP Cabardès (Cabernet, Cot, Merlot, Syrah) and AOP Minervois (Grenache, Syrah, Marsanne, Roussanne, Cinsault, Muscat), benefiting from a unique terroir with Atlantic and Mediterranean influences. The estate also produces wines from valley plots with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
