About the Winery

The Bassouls estate is a family winery in the Beaujolais region, located near Lantignié, close to the prestigious Morgon appellation. The estate is known for its commitment to organic viticulture. At only 29 years old, Cosima Bassouls took over the 7-hectare family estate and began converting everything to organic farming in 2019, utilizing agroforestry and cover crops to create an integrated landscape that brings nature into the vineyards. She employs 15 different cover crops, rotating and adapting each to suit the needs of the parcel, creating natural biodiversity and true polyculture with healthy, living soil. Cosima also employs progressive vine-training methods including planting all new parcels to cordon instead of gobelet, and has started training old vines on high stakes for natural ventilation to combat disease.

A young, dynamic estate in Beaujolais-Lantignié committed to organic viticulture and agroforestry, just 600 meters from the prestigious Morgon appellation.
