Maison Jean Huttard
About the Winery
Maison Jean Huttard is one of the oldest family-run wine estates in Alsace, founded in 1860. Independent winemakers in Zellenberg for over 160 years, the estate is now led by siblings Antoine and Hélène, who have brought renewed energy with a focus on organic viticulture and low-intervention winemaking. The 8-hectare vineyard is spread across 45 plots in 6 municipalities, with soils ranging from clay-limestone to marl and clay. The estate is a pioneer in Crémant d'Alsace production, with nearly 50 years of experience in crafting these traditional method sparkling wines. Their portfolio includes the 'Visages' range of terroir blends, single-parcel selections from Grand Cru vineyards including Mandelberg and Sonnenglanz, and exceptional old-vine Chardonnay. The estate is certified organic and committed to sustainable, ecological viticulture.
“One of Alsace's oldest family estates since 1860, pioneering Crémant d'Alsace and now certified organic.”
