About the Winery

Château de Flaugergues is one of the oldest 'Folies de Montpellier,' built in 1696 by Etienne de Flaugergues. The estate has been in the Colbert family for over 300 years, currently managed by Henri and Brigitte de Colbert with their son Pierre de Colbert as winemaker. The property spans 18 hectares of vineyards on the exceptional 'la Méjanelle' terroir in the AOP Languedoc-Grés de Montpellier. The clay-limestone soils and mild Mediterranean climate produce wines of great finesse and complexity. The estate is HVE (High Environmental Value) certified, committed to sustainable vineyard management and biodiversity preservation. The château, listed as a historic monument, features French-style gardens, an orangery, an English park, and a restaurant called Folia.
