About the Winery

Gilles Berlioz founded Domaine Partagé (formerly Domaine Gilles Berlioz) in 1990 in Chignin, Savoie. Starting with just 0.8 hectares, Gilles and his partner Christine gradually expanded the estate to 4.5 hectares of vines on the steep slopes of the Savoie AOP. A former landscape gardener, Gilles converted the estate to organic farming in 2005 and then to biodynamic practices, earning Demeter certification. The estate was renamed 'Domaine Partagé' in 2016, reflecting the collaborative spirit of the project. The vineyards are worked by hand and with horses on steep slopes, following the principle of 'one terroir, one grape variety, one cuvée.' The estate produces wines from indigenous varieties including Jacquère, Roussanne, Altesse, and Mondeuse under the appellations Vins de Savoie, Roussette, Chignin-Bergeron, and Mondeuse. The wines are vinified naturally with no added yeasts and minimal sulfites, earning recognition from La Revue du Vin de France as a 'must-have domain.'
