About the Winery

Franck Bessone operates Domaine du Granit in the Chénas appellation of Beaujolais. Chénas is one of the ten Crus of Beaujolais, known for producing refined, floral wines from Gamay grapes. Often described as the most 'Burgundian' of the Beaujolais Crus, Chénas wines are characterized by their elegance, rose and peony aromas, and ability to age gracefully. The appellation takes its name from the oak trees that once covered the area.
