About the Winery

Hélène Barbelet, along with Denis Barbelet, produces wine in the Saint-Amour appellation of Beaujolais. Saint-Amour is the northernmost of the ten Beaujolais Crus, known for its elegant, perfumed wines with aromas of red fruits, peonies, and spices. The wines are crafted from Gamay grapes grown on granite and schist soils, producing silky, approachable wines that are often considered the most 'Burgundian' in style among the Beaujolais Crus.
