Domaine du Dragon

990 avenue Frédéric Henri Manhes, 83300 Draguignan, France

About the Winery

Domaine du Dragon takes its name from a legend of Draguignan: a dragon that flooded the city from Saint Michel hill before being slain by Saint Hermentaire, the city's patron saint. Near the château's vines, ruins of the Château du Dragon still remain. Today, the estate encompasses 66 hectares, including 25 hectares of vines producing AOP Côtes de Provence wines. The estate is fully converted to organic agriculture and produces Rose ('Grande Cuvée' and 'Trésor du Dragon'), white ('Les Restanques' and 'L'Élixir'), and red wines ('Le Petit Dragon', 'Les Hautes Vignes', 'Saint Michel', and 'Perle Noire'). The estate is family-run and known as one of the few red-specialized estates in Provence. The property features a barrel cellar where Bach suites play to benefit the aging wines.

A 66-hectare organic estate in Provence named after a local dragon legend, producing Rose, white, and red wines in Côtes de Provence appellation.
