About the Winery

La Maison Vérizet - Cave de Viré is a cooperative winery founded in 1928 in the Mâconnais region of Burgundy. The cave brings together 150 winegrowers (including 40 vigneron members) cultivating 240 hectares of vines across five appellations: Viré-Clessé, Crémant de Bourgogne, Mâcon-Villages, Bourgogne, and Bourgogne Aligoté. The cooperative practices sustainable viticulture (viticulture raisonnée) to offer healthy wines. The Viré-Clessé appellation, created in 1998, is exclusively for white wines made from Chardonnay grapes. The wines are known for their elegance, freshness, and minerality, expressing the limestone-rich terroir of the Mâconnais. The cave offers tastings, direct sales, and visits.

A cooperative winery since 1928 with 150 growers and 240 hectares, producing Viré-Clessé and other Mâconnais wines through sustainable viticulture.
