Château Meyre
About the Winery
Château Meyre is a historic Cru Bourgeois Supérieur estate in the Haut-Médoc appellation of Bordeaux. The château's origins date back to the Middle Ages. Colette Lenôtre, wife of the famous chef, was among the notable former owners. The Hetrakul family, a distinguished dynasty from Thailand, acquired the estate over 20 years ago and has dedicated themselves to revealing all the qualities of their wines. The property spans 18 hectares in Haut-Médoc (Cru Bourgeois Supérieur) and 2 hectares in Margaux. The vineyard is planted with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc. The family has been a pioneer in environmental practices, converting the vineyard to organic agriculture and receiving certification in 2011. The estate also offers accommodation with five elegantly decorated rooms overlooking the vineyards and a swimming pool.
