Château de Tracy

Tracy-sur-Loire, 58150 Pouilly-sur-Loire, France

About the Winery

Château de Tracy has been run by the same family since the 14th century, with records dating back to 1396 when the 'Les Champs de Crix' vineyard was purchased. In 1586, Françoise Stutt married Françoise de Bar, bringing the seigneury of Tracy as dowry. Today, the estate is owned by Comte Henry d'Assay and his brother François Stutt, representing the unification of two branches of the same family after four centuries of separation. The 33-hectare domaine is divided between the flinty soils around the Château and the Kimmeridgian limestone terroir of Vilmoy, a few kilometers from Pouilly-sur-Loire. The estate produces exclusively Pouilly-Fumé wines from 100% Sauvignon Blanc, including the cuvée Château de Tracy (the historic cuvée), Haute Densité (from high-density plantings), Mademoiselle de T (the second wine), and the rare 101 Rangs from a single parcel. The estate has practiced reasoned cultivation for over 12 years and received the 'Vignobles et Découvertes' label in 2016.

A historic Pouilly-Fumé estate with 33 hectares, family-owned since the 14th century, producing elegant Sauvignon Blanc wines from flint and Kimmeridgian terroirs.
