About the Winery

Maison Ogier, founded in 1859 by Christophe Ogier, is one of the most historic wine producers in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Located in the heart of France's oldest appellation (established 1936), Ogier has deepened its knowledge of soil types across the Rhône Valley and adapted its winemaking accordingly. The estate's century-old cellars house more than 8,000 hectoliters of wine in various wooden containers. In 2011, Maison Ogier launched a unique series of wines highlighting the four major soil types of Châteauneuf-du-Pape: galets roulés, éclats calcaires, grès rouges, and safres. They also created the Conservatoire des Terroirs, a garden showcasing the different terroirs. The estate produces a full range of wines from Châteauneuf-du-Pape (8 reds and 4 whites) as well as Côtes du Rhône, Gigondas, Vacqueyras, and other Southern Rhône appellations.
