About the Winery

Domaine Raphaël Luneau is a family estate with a winemaking history dating back to 1680 in the Muscadet Sèvre et Maine appellation of the Loire Valley. Raphaël is the ninth generation of winemakers to carry on the family tradition. The estate spans 28-30 hectares and is recognized as a 'cave d'excellence' among the tourist cellars of the Loire. The domaine produces a range of wines including Gros Plant sur lie, Muscadet sur lie, Cru Goulaine, and traditional method sparkling wines, all from the Melon de Bourgogne grape. Raphaël is passionate about breaking stereotypes about Muscadet, demonstrating that it is a grape that ages well and has multiple interesting facets. The estate has been shaped for wine tourism, welcoming visitors for tastings, guided tours from vineyard to cellar, and themed events.

A family estate since 1680 in Muscadet Sèvre et Maine, now in its 9th generation, recognized as a 'cave d'excellence' in the Loire Valley.
