About the Winery

Château de Valmy is a magnificent estate located in Argelès-sur-Mer in Roussillon, at the foot of the Albères massif overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Founded in 1888 by Jules Pams, the estate has a rich history spanning over 130 years. After a period of decline, Bernard Carbonnell (grandson of Victor Peix) and his wife Martine undertook an extensive restoration in 1997, breathing new life into the estate and its vineyards. Today, the 25-hectare estate produces wines from Côtes du Roussillon, Muscat de Rivesaltes, and Rivesaltes appellations. The property includes five guest rooms, a restaurant (La Table de Valmy), and offers wine tastings and visits. The château was elegantly refurbished by architect Alain Marty, offering a unique experience combining history, architecture, and terroir.

A historic estate in Roussillon overlooking the Mediterranean, restored by the Carbonnell family since 1997, producing wines from Côtes du Roussillon and Rivesaltes appellations.
