Gaec De Oliveira Lecestre
About the Winery
Domaine De Oliveira Lecestre is a family estate founded in 1955 in Fontenay-près-Chablis, in the north-east of the Chablis region on the right bank of the Serein River. The De Oliveira family emigrated from Portugal to Chablis in the 20th century, and Mr. De Oliveira began working in the vines for other winegrowers while gradually building his own vineyard. Today, the domaine encompasses approximately 48 hectares of vines spread across all four Chablis denominations: 8.44 hectares of Petit Chablis, 34.99 hectares of Chablis, 4.29 hectares of Chablis Premier Cru (including the prestigious Fourchaume), and 0.28 hectares of Chablis Grand Cru (Les Clos). The wines are vinified and aged exclusively in stainless steel tanks, reflecting the perfect typicity of Chablis with their minerality, freshness, and purity.
“A family estate founded in 1955 by Portuguese immigrants, now cultivating 48 hectares across all Chablis appellations including Premier Cru and Grand Cru.”
