9, La Font du Pape, 84232 Châteauneuf du Pape, France

About the Winery

Domaine de la Côte de l'Ange was founded in 1972 by Jean Claude Mestre and Monique Jeune in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The Jeune family had previously owned the well-regarded Domaine Monpertuis. Today, the estate is managed by their daughter Corinne and her husband Yannick Gasparri, who took over from Corinne's parents. Their son Jules joined the family enterprise in 2017. The property covers 14 hectares of Châteauneuf-du-Pape and an additional 2.5 hectares in the Côtes du Rhône appellation. The domaine produces several cuvées including Tradition, Vieilles Vignes, Secret de l'Ange, and a white Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The wines are crafted with meticulous care, with the Vieilles Vignes cuvée produced from vines averaging over 80 years of age. The estate emphasizes traditional winemaking methods and the unique terroir of Châteauneuf-du-Pape with its characteristic galets roulés.

A family estate in Châteauneuf-du-Pape founded in 1972, now run by the third generation, producing elegant wines from old vines on prestigious terroir.
