Scev champagne l. Aubry Fils
About the Winery
Champagne L. Aubry Fils is a family estate in Jouy-lès-Reims, in the Petite Montagne de Reims region of Champagne. Run by brothers Pierre (oenologist) and Philippe (biologist) Aubry, descendants of a line of winegrowers since 1790, the estate spans over 12 hectares of nearly 50 parcels. The brothers are known for reviving ancient Champagne grape varieties such as Arbanne, Petit Meslier, Pinot Gris (Fromenteau), and Pinot Blanc. Their wines are original and individual, representing flavors outside the typical Champagne profile. The basic 'Brut Classique' comes from a perpetual cuvée started in 1998. Since Max (Philippe's son) joined in 2020, the estate has been transitioning to organic viticulture. The soils in this part of the Petite Montagne feature fossil-bearing limestone that gives the wines lift and high acidity.
“A family Champagne estate since 1790, known for reviving ancient grape varieties and transitioning to organic viticulture under the third generation.”
