About the Winery

Château de Villambis is a unique Haut-Médoc Cru Bourgeois estate operated by Adapei de la Gironde, an organization that supports workers with disabilities. The estate has been managed by Adapei since 1979, with about 15 workers with disabilities participating in the viticultural activity. The 18-hectare property (15 hectares in production) is located in Cissac, in the heart of the Médoc, about 10 km from Pauillac. The terroir consists of Pyrenean gravel and sand over cracked limestone and clay subsoil. The wines are a classic Médoc blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, aged in oak barrels for 12-14 months with one-third new wood. The estate was first classified Cru Bourgeois in 1932 and holds Terra Vitis environmental certification since 2020.
