Bernard Audiffred
About the Winery
Domaine Audiffred is a family wine estate in Vosne-Romanée, Burgundy, that has been exploited since 1965 by Bernard and Henriette Audiffred. The estate extends over 5 hectares, from Gevrey-Chambertin to Pommard, and is now managed by their son Henri Audiffred, who took over in 2007. The wines are manually bottled, not filtered or fined. The method is traditional and natural, without changes of grounds or weeding. Only regular tilling is practiced. The sulphating of the vines contains copper and sulphur, without insecticides. Winemaking is done by cold start (without yeast) with long cuvaisons of 15 to 18 days in wood tanks. The wines are aged 16 to 18 months in oak barrels and undergo neither fining nor filtering.
“A 5-hectare family estate in Vosne-Romanée since 1965, producing natural, unfiltered Burgundy wines from Gevrey-Chambertin to Pommard.”
