Château de Pierreclos

144 Chemin du Château, 71960 Pierreclos, France

About the Winery

Château de Pierreclos is a medieval castle and winery nestled in southern Burgundy, in the Mâconnais region, between Cluny Abbey and the Roche de Solutré. The historic monument dates back to between 887 and 926, and the Pidault family acquired the estate in 1989. The winery produces organic wines from 10 hectares of vines spread over eight villages under eight appellations, including Pouilly-Fuissé Premier Cru, Pouilly-Fuissé, Saint-Véran, and Mâcon-Pierreclos. The primary varietals are Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The estate offers guided tours of the cellar and medieval castle, wine tastings, and also operates as a boutique château-hotel with accommodation. The wines are bottled without filtration to preserve their natural character.

A medieval castle and working winery in the heart of Mâconnais, producing organic Pouilly-Fuissé and Saint-Véran wines since 1989.
